A member of the Social Realist movements for his works featuring the lower class, Borlongan’s artistic style featured a highly stylized figure that includes bald eyes, enlarged eyes, and elongated limbs. Like this 2003 untitled work, the figures are portrayed with blank backgrounds that emphasizes their features. Using simple means, Borlongan manages to pack a punch.
