Francisco and Lucio San Pedro. In his snapshot-like works, he utilizes Ben-Day dots and halftone images that reminds the viewers of nostalgia and long lost tradition.

\nGuiliran views his art in a personal lens, a reflection to view and dissect one’s identity, beliefs, and personal histories, a perspective which results in a piece with a loose social commentary. This viewpoint is evident in this 2019 work entitled Continue, Guiliran displays his mastery at weaving personal and collective narratives to create a powerfully nostalgic work. An airborne view of the grass in a sepia tone, Guiliran’s Continue evokes a childhood memory of playing in your provincial home’s backyard.
