His artistic repertoire delves into rather distinctive themes and subjects, offering audiences a unique exploration of the weathered and decrepit. Santos’ choice of dilapidated settings and objects infuses his canvases with an evocative nostalgia, directing attention to elements nearly lost and in a state of decay.

His canvases portray a range from shattered and aged objects to wilting leaves, utilizing a rusty and weathered palette. Santos masterfully taps into the sentimental chords of his audience, drawing focus on the contrast between old and new. This interplay between the decrepit and the aged palette evokes a sense of memories resurfacing, sparking a moment of reflection and reminiscence. In this exploration, what was once ‘forgotten’ emerges as the ‘found’—a familiar presence making its impact felt once again.
