Recalling silk screen printing methods, the irregular curvilinear free form layers are laid on in such ways that their edges criss cross like fine pieces of gauze or webs revolving around a subtly shifting axis. Olazo’s art has a sense of luxury despite its grave monochromatic colors. Each shape possesses a curvilinear sensuousness, as light shimmers through veil upon veil of illusionist space. Colors are restrained to cool monochromes.
