Best known for his folk art themes, he uses simplified geometric forms to construct colorful, bright, urban scenes and cityscapes. Inspired by his hometown, Baldemor’s paintings are done in pastel-like colors to accentuate the vibrance of hometowns and its festivities. <br /><br />It was folk arts that destined him to visit various places as artist-in-residence in Singapore, Japan, Israel, Portugal, Chile, Estonia, France and Switzerland. Besides oil, acrylic, watercolor,wood carving and wood sculpture, Baldemor also does ceramics and fine prints.<br /><br /> In 1992 Baldemor was honored as one of the 13 artists awardee of the Cultural Center of the Philippines for his rich contribution to the country’s heritage.
