However, George Ng proved otherwise and demonstrated his exemplary command of watercolor in Industrial Pollution, which he painted in 1976. From afar, it looks like a scene depicting the transition from day to night, where the skies are slowly painted dark. However, when looked at closely, the darkness engulfing the image comes from the puffs of smoke emitting from the nearby industrial facilities.
