This piece features a relaxed and scenic landscape across the 'Old Legislative Building', now the National Museum of the Philippines Fine Arts. The image seems to offer a perspective of someone enjoying a moment of respite in the shade of the trees, surrounded by greenery and admiring the calm edifice at a distance. However, unlike most of his landscapes bathed in cool tones, 'Legislative Building' has a warmer undertone, perhaps an effect of the color of the paper he used. Nevertheless, this deviation from his usual tones resulted in an image resembling that of an old photograph, evoking a taste of nostalgia.
