In an approximation of a quaint rural house, Baldemor portrays the titular dalaga as she sits in her room. He bends and twists the house as he shows all its rooms from one view – we can see the dalaga as she peers over the window and directly below her stands the family dog. We could see the kitchen and the storage and even the clothesline from the backyard. Baldemor’s Dalaga brings forth a sense of camaraderie and community onto his canvas, a continued tradition of depicting the Filipino culture through his art.
