Despite being known for his minimalist works, Augusto Albor’s figurative works are also magnificent. A CCP Thirteen Artist Awardee, Albor proved his dexterity with human anatomy in this 2017 Nude. In simple and unobstructed lines, the artist perfectly depicts the supple curves of a woman’s body, her thighs and breasts lightly implied but no less important in this portrait. Albor is a true minimalist – even in his figurative works, he makes do without unnecessary strokes, instead telling a story with the necessary line, and nothing more. (Hannah Valiente)
