This untitled piece exemplifies the artist’s exceptional ability to emit a sense of peace and mystery with his exceptional brushwork and utilization of colors, proving his place in the Philippine art scene.
\n
The work at hand depicts a mossy coastal area, his palette dominated by blues and greens. Sansó used a dry-on-dry technique on the plants, the slanted strokes signifying motion, the wind moving its every strand. On the other hand, he excellently used a wet-on-wet technique on the rest of the piece, blending the blue sky with the water and the greenery. This blend of colors creates a hazy atmosphere, a scenery engulfed by the mist of the slowly approaching night.
