Madridejos’s sketches portrays the artist’s dexterity. Adept in both painting and sculpture, Madridejos’s pen-and-ink sketches are a masterful depiction of how fully he grasps the basics of art. For many artists, drawings and sketches are the foundation of art — one must be able to wield it proficiently and effectively. Evidently, Madridejos belongs to this group of artists; he continuously hones his talents in art-making, practicing sketching again and again in a neverending pursuit of excellence.
