The combination of these disciplines significantly shaped his artistry, evident in the composition and perspective of his paintings and drawings. His work is not only known for its spectacular and polychromatic impressionist landscapes and still life paintings but also for his mastery of graphite and charcoal, as seen in the numerous illustrations and sketches he produced, particularly his nude studies. These drawings, which also served as his practice for tonal values, are a testament to the depth of his artistic vision.
