His masterworks, an assortment of polychromatic impressionist landscapes, still lifes, and graphite and charcoal drawings, are a testament to his artistic prowess. In the 1980s, he introduced his Wiping Series, a collection of works created by blotches and smudges of oil paint on canvas or board. His paintings, known for their meticulous and impressionistic brush strokes, offer a highly textured surface enriched with a wide range of color combinations. Indeed, Ibarra dela Rosa was a proficient artist who, with his clever brushwork and expert sense of color, opened the door to new possibilities and inspired other artists with his art, further cementing his name in Philippine art history.
