The artist’s mastery of color and tone, composition, and materials is a product of the lessons and influences he accumulated from his early youth, being born into a family of artists, up to his academy years, and finally, his incessant practice. Throughout Galicano’s career, he has explored a variety of art styles, subjects, and mediums. At different points, his canvases have featured impressionistic landscapes, realistic still lifes and church interiors, tonal seascapes, portraits, and nude studies, ranging from highly detailed works to rough sketches. Hence, the body of work Galicano left on the art scene is a testament to his artistic bravura — his versatility and ability to create art pieces across a wide range of styles and mediums.
