In the artist’s own words, she finds them “fascinating,” and she would paint whatever flower she received that day. \nThis particular flower still-life bears Betsy’s iconic touches. The contrasting and complementary textures used create the most natural flower arrangement. It is luxuriant in its elegance and mystery, with its flower arrangement narrating a story yet to be told. Quintessentially Betsy, this work is a good example of her meditative world, whose intimate energy is portrayed through her harmonization of tone and colors.
