Concepcion, is known for his abstract expressionist style. His art often reflects a deep connection to his canvases, with mixed media works that combine oil, watercolor, gouache, and three-dimensional objects. His featured untitled oil on canvas piece, dated 1986, depicts a landscape scene of a red or orange object (possibly a boat) floating under a large body of water. The lights and colors from some of the palettes found in the upper part of the painting reflect down below, demonstrating the artist’s preference for meditative brushstrokes and playing with shades of colors, which infuse his works with energy and life, evoking a sense of contentment and serenity.
