As the man–shirtless with his chin lifted proudly–stands with his back perfectly straight and poised, Herbosa’s signature light washes over him, rendering the harsh edges of his skin and bones softer under the bright light. A self-professed lover of light, Herbosa’s works, under the calm and gentle light, speak of perseverance and hope, of resistance and revelation, and the very same one that causes her muses to stand up straighter, eyes fixed on the bright future ahead.
