After finishing college, he transitioned directly from the field of architecture into a full-time visual artist rather than pursuing a career as an architect. In one of his interviews, Sanchez stated that his art was essentially a means for him to tell stories about himself and his experiences. His feelings, sentiments, and passions are almost automatically reflected in his collages, especially in one of Sanchez’s featured pieces, When Fear is Your Only God, which was created and signed by the artist in 2021—a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak.\nAs an artist, he explores a wide range of artistic forms and utilizes a diverse array of materials to create his pieces. However, he calls most of his pieces collages, which he considers the foundation of his works. He also used the design skills he learned in college as an architect to create his pieces, producing pieces that are not only precise and organized but also free and expressive.
