It mainly involves the conflict between the Moros (Muslims) and the Spaniards (Christians), and in the end of the play, the Christians always defeated the Muslims. It was a way for the Spanish to push anti-Moro sentiments during that time, among the Christianized ethnic groups under the soft blanket theme of \"The triumph of Good against Evil\". Charlie Co uses the exact concept of the play in this art piece, except this time, the \"evil\" triumphed over the \"good.\"<br> Co's piece illustrates two puppets in a battle against each other. Based on how the legs are positioned (the leg of the \"Evil\" is over the leg of the \"Good\"), it could be assumed that in this version of \"moro-moro,\" the evil is actually winning. Surrounding the middle image are several images that represent evil on both pillars, with one on the left, depicting a man in a monster mask, wearing a suit and case (representing corruption), and the right illustrating a woman with her hands around her naked body (representing abuse). And finally, when comparing the top and bottom, the presentation of the snake (representing the devil) at the top, alongside the crucified Christ at the bottom, creates a twisted heart frame between the middle image, further pushing the ideology that Charlie Co wants to show. It's about the evil in current society, which is actually prevailing over good, as corruption and abuse continue to plague the world, undermining its goodness.
