Created in 2001, it draws a parallel between a musician and their instrument, and a painter and their brush and canvas. Both are creating something beautiful in their own way.

The featured piece portrays an abstract illustration of what seems to be a silver tuning peg from a string instrument, based on the shape and the bulbous tip at the end of it. It

was painted on an uneven canvas (with the left side being lower than the right), and at the bottom is a figure of what seems to be a tail piece holding four strings, as well as notes going downward with the word \"Glissando\" right next to it, which coincides with the notes on the strings as well as the uneven surface of the canvas, making the end of the strings literally \"rise\" or from the canvas over to the other.

What's very interesting about this piece is the fact that both the tail piece and the other end of the single tuning peg are inside the left side of the canvas, which was cut lower than the right side. Hinting that both pieces might be \"attached\" to that thin canvas, and that it might be an abstract \"instrument\" with the artist as \"musician\" who plays the instrument. Similar to a musician manipulating the strings of their instrument to play beautiful music, Pacquing highlights how an artist can make art through the manipulation of the canvas, the use of brush strokes, and the choice of materials to portray different meanings. It completely emphasizes the artist's concept about the conventional perception of art, displacing the idea of unequivocal forms and introducing possibilities for the coexistence of affirmation and denials.
