She is celebrated for her kaleidoscopic folk genre paintings, a stark contrast to her earlier dark and gloomy themes. Belleza usually populated her images with women vendors, potters, and workers, with emphasis on their physical strength and native appearances.

In Tabok, the traditional nipa hut takes center stage, instead of the populace. The bahay kubo is nestled amidst lush mango trees, bathed in the vibrant provincial light, enlivening her scenery. Despite Belleza's brilliant palette and black outlines, reminiscent of a child's handiwork, her works are not overwhelming. On the contrary, her delightful interpretations of Philippine life exude warmth and tranquility, providing the audience with a comforting respite.
