His skilled craftsmanship and understanding of space allow him to create sublime glass sculptures that showcase a creative interplay between transparent and translucent areas, polished, matte, and frosted surfaces, or prismatic areas and smooth planes. Amber, a hard, translucent fossilized tree resin with a yellowish-brown hue, embodies ancient energy and natural warmth. It is renowned for its healing and cleansing properties. This 2014 masterpiece is one of Orlina's few carved peach amber pieces, a captivating rendition of the mother and child theme. It depicts a mother cradling her child close to her chest, right where her heart is. His use of amber in A Mother's Dream pays tribute to a mother's love and protection, skillfully leveraging the material's distinctive qualities to symbolize motherhood. Certainly affectionate and awe-inspiring, this Orlina piece serves as a mother's warm embrace, offering protection from harm and negative energy, and healing for our hearts and souls.
