But the Filipino touch is not absent, revealing in particular the influence of Zóbel. Beyond its abstraction, the painting evokes a landscape-like sensibility—a kind of aerial or dreamlike map, with rice paddies, terraced forms, or coastal silhouettes subtly implied.<br><br>This work exemplifies Zalameda’s mature synthesis of Western abstraction and Filipino sensibility.
