Drawn in angular forms influenced by Cubism, the central subject bears a resemblance to his recurring portrayal of warriors. Still, it is depicted in a way that reflects a type of warrior or hero commonly seen in superhero comics or animations. The upward thrust of the arm in a dramatic fashion, like grasping for something, reflects defiance and the invocation of power. The themes that Botong often revisited through his iconic pieces.
