His masterpieces, often featuring landscapes, are an ode to the nature in which he is usually found. Isidro took up Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas, where he learned under the tutelage of revered abstractionists Angelito Antonio and Victorio Edades, whose influences led him to pursue abstraction.

Essentially abstract in form, Isidro’s canvases are filled with bold gestural strokes and segmented shapes painted in vibrant, luminous colors. His subjects, drawn from nature, including flora and fauna, as well as the earth’s changing moods and environments, are brought to life with every swish and flick of his brush. In his 2007 piece Blue Wind, Isidro employed a dry-on-dry technique, creating a slightly textured appearance. This technique, along with the artist’s palette, adds a sense of energy and vibrancy to the piece, resembling a verdant terrain ruffled by the passing wind.
