Over the course of his career, his canvases have featured a diverse range of subjects, including landscapes, seascapes, still lifes, portraits, and nude studies, which range from highly detailed pieces to rough sketches. Still, he is most known for his realist and impressionist style landscapes. Galicano also created pieces that merge classical techniques with modern themes, inspiring young artists to be dauntless in finding their own artistic voices. Even after decades, Galicano remains steadfast in his artmaking. His 2013 oil on canvas work, Pastoral Scene Along the Shore of Cordova, Cebu, is a testament to his unwavering dedication. It offers a glimpse of the picturesque town of Cordova, approximately 48 kilometers from the artist's hometown in Carcar. With his masterful strokes and palette, Galicano captures the town's lush greens and blossoming gardens, a different view from its nearby shore. At the centre of the image, a large tree provides shade for a man and his cow, shielding them from the sun's heat. Galicano's colorism, drawn from the dazzling colors of nature, is one of the most admirable aspects of his art. His use of color enhances the visual appeal of his paintings and sets their emotional tone, often evoking a sense of nostalgia and reflection in the viewers.
