In the distant view, carabaos can be seen in the farther view of the image. Further establishing the agricultural setting of the painting. Fragmented yet unified in depicting the image of the piece, the artist's muted palette provides a soft, dreamlike atmosphere, resulting in a simple and harmonious mood.

In this magnificent artwork, Tabuena perfectly captures the Filipino's resilience and the dignity of rural labor. The multiple bending motions of the farmers, along with the fragmentation caused by the cubist geometry, give the painting a sense of discipline and cooperation, which are valued traits among agrarian communities. Each fragment represents individual efforts, flawlessly pieced together to create an image of the collective whole—a visual metaphor for communal strength. A work of quiet tribute to the timeless relationship between people, land, and labor in the country, Romeo Tabuena's painting has become a hallmark of Philippine contemporary artworks that celebrate unity and rural life.
