The way it flows from the seat suggests a dialogue between human comfort and natural form— mirroring a philosophy of harmony between nature, function, and art. An embodiment of how design can coexist with ecology. By sculpting, Reyes' sculpted chairs could be viewed not only as utilitarian objects but also as functional sculptures that celebrate the heritage of Filipino woodcraft.

For context, Reyes is one of the Philippines' leading figures in contemporary furniture art. Expressing both elegance and restraint, his work blurs the line between sculpture and furniture. Creating pieces that are hand-built with an artisanal sensibility that resists mass production.
