Elevating the image of women, vendors, and domestic life, Malang transforms the image of a domestic woman into an emblematic figure: intimate and humble yet monumental through form and color.

Portraying a stylized woman sitting cross-legged while holding a round basket with fruits inside it. The way the figure is built from flattened geometric shapes and planes— almost cubist-like—evolves the fragmented woman into an iconic and dignified figure that represents and pays homage to the beauty of domestic and humble everyday life. One that Malang seems to respect and celebrate through his magnificent oeuvre.
