However, behind these refined and elegant art pieces is a meticulous and tedious process that demands dedication and effort. Made from a material that is both hard and brittle, creating glass sculptures requires patience and attentive handling.

Ramon Orlina, with his architectural background, boundless creativity, and diligent attitude towards his craft, has carved out a niche in Philippine art with his premier glass sculptures. La Familia, created in 1999, is a testament to Orlina's proficiency and disciplined craftsmanship. Peculiarly, despite the absence of actual figures, you can make out the form of a child cradled between his parents' sweet embrace in this particular piece. It embodies the Filipinos' close familial relationships and evokes memories of our childhood years, the feeling of immense protection and contentment in the comfort of our family and homes.
