His blue and green-dominated palette signifies the transition from a cool afternoon to the gradually approaching nighttime. There was also a palpable sense of warmth emanating from the scenes he portrayed, brought by the conspicuous streaks of yellow and orange—the last bits of sunlight. <br /><br />In contrast to his generally hazy seascapes, Sanso's masterful brushwork and use of colors provide a detailed depiction of the stones and mossy outcrops in these works. At the same time, the sky and water appear as a smooth blend of colours. Furthermore, he aptly used black and white to add shadows and highlights, successfully enlivening his images and captivating the audience with his unique portrayals.
