Here, \nshe used an embroidered canvas on a painted canvas as an approach to expression, \nas embroidery is often perceived as a feminine craft. This piece presents the \nfemale face, with an illustration of a sailing ship in troubled waters, set against a \nwrapped object as background. Evocative and skillfully rendered, Dionisio exposes \nthe importance of vulnerability in the process of navigating one’s inner emotional \nlandscape, in its serenity and turbulence, for openness and perspective. <br /><br />\nDionisio was an advertising arts major from the Bulacan State University, graduating \nin 2009. In the same year, she was hailed as the grand prize winner in the painting \ncategory of the Art Association of the Philippines Annual Art Competition.
