After earning a degree in Fine Arts, he worked at several printing shops and advertising companies, where he further developed his printmaking skills. Samonte’s prints offer eye-catching, prismatic qualities that are sure to captivate everyone’s attention, thus earning him the distinction of being one of the pioneering figures of serigraphy in the Philippines.

\nWith a wide range of works, from paintings to woodcuts and prints, Rodolfo Samonte is undoubtedly a well respected figure in the Philippine art scene. The combination of his proficiency in printmaking and his abstract sensibilities established him as one of the most accomplished geometric abstractionists in the field of printmaking.
