Made in 1928—a few years after Vitalis arrived in Paris —the artwork features a narrow street layout (possibly Montmartre) with multi-story Parisian buildings and trees, while pedestrians and carriages are present and interact candidly in small groups. Rather than depicting a dramatic action, the artist captures a moment of ordinary Parisian life, offering a calm, observational, and intimate viewing experience.
