Falling into the company of Puteaux’s cubist artists called “The Golden Section,” Vitalis’s work echoed the electric zeitgeist of pre-war Paris. <br />\n His impressionistic brush strokes are center stage in this piece. Perhaps an en plein air work, Vitalis portrays a view of the sea and the rocky shores below. Shades of orange, brown, and green mingle with the blues Vitalis uses for the sea. Through its erratic brushstrokes, Vitalis’s abstract work is a whirlwind of love and light, capturing France in all her beauty.
