It not only encapsulates the beauty and grandeur of these structures but also powerfully demonstrates the artist’s exceptional talent and disciplined approach to his artmaking. <br />\nRagodon’s Church of Dueñas Iloilo shows the church’s facade; the towers were damaged by bombings during World War II and by an earthquake in the late 1940s. Although in ruins, the artist nevertheless captured the magnificence of one of Iloilo’s finest examples of Baroque architecture. This piece demonstrates his mastery of oil painting, using it with ease and grace. His fine brushwork and meticulousness captured every detail of the church’s exterior, including the bleed on the walls, signifying the years and conditions it had endured, adding an antiquated elegance to the piece.
