While his signature acidic yellow hue is present, it is mixed with oranges and laced with heavy blacks and dark greens. Antonio employed a combination of wet and dry painting techniques; the yellows and oranges seamlessly blended, while coarse strokes of black and green added depth and texture, demonstrating his mastery of oil paint. The artist’s clever yet mindful application of color and brushstrokes resulted in an image resembling a forest bathed in the sun’s effervescent light.
