Painted in watercolor on paper, the featured piece depicts a man in a suit. With sharp blue suit and tie, clean cut hair, the stern and straightforward look, as well as the discolored skin tone from the medium to add tone, the Maestro had successfully portrayed the central subject as someone who presents himself as serious and sharp in public but has an eventful life experiences that define the person beneath the weary man that was present in the artwork—succesfully humanizing the central subject though stains, and expressive distortions.
