These influences significantly shaped his art, creating a blend of his personal experiences and artistic expression. \n\nHis artistic lexicon is characterized by polychromatic cubist attraction and a fidelity to folk motifs. In this piece, gone are his sailboats riding through the waves. Instead, he depicted a lone house situated in the midst of big boulders and bordered by wooden fences from behind. Zalameda’s sepia, washed brown palette envelops his image in a somber atmosphere, yet imbues his subject with quiet solitude, illustrating his tendency to evoke mood through color and composition.
