This very rich genre for his art would nevertheless bring him the respect and acclaim among those who prize such artworks - his patrons included Hollywood celebrity Sylvester Stallone and prominent thoroughbred trainer D. Wayne Lukas. The largest collection of Arellano painting abroad belongs to Dr. Madison Richardson, former governor of the Pacific Coast Circuit of the U.S. Polo Association.<br /> <br /> Arellano has also done polo paintings for Sultan Bolkiah of Brunei, former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and a commission by Dr. Armand Hammer was given as a gift to Britain’s Charles. Arellano has also exhibited extensively in Japan, Singapore, and Australia. He was also s threetime Sole Judge in the Watercolor Category of the bi-annual art competition sponsored by the city government of Beverly Hills in California. One of Arellano’s paintings even became the main auction piece at the fundraising dinner hosted before by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Major Ronald Ferguson, former Polo Manager of the Prince of Wales, remarked: “ Salvador Arellano is the appointed Official Artist of the Shakespeare Globe Cup polo event between the US and England based on his remarkable skill at equine portraiture.” <br /> <br />Art critic Cid Reyes hailed Arellano’s works as: “ Whereas most painters will delight in landscape, a still life, a floral arrangement, a nude, or a portrait, Arellano will most prefer to seek the company of avian, equine, and canine creatures.
