After\ngraduating from De La Salle University Manila, Reyes\nmanaged to mount his first at Print Gallery in 1969. This\nwas then followed by two more shows, one at F. Sionil Jose’s\nSolidaridad Gallery in 1970 and one at Hyatt Hotel in 1972.\nHis promising artistic genius eventually landed him a grant\nto study at Academia Belli di Belli Arti in Rome.<br /><br />\nIt is rare to find an individual who has wholeheartedly\nembraced both sides of the aesthetic system, though such\na synthesis is not without its benefits. Thus, Reyes’ work\nmanages to exude both formal and philosophical qualities.\nThe artist’s works are often arranged in such a way that\nmaximizes both the physical space of the canvas and the\nvisual harmonies of his elements.
