Navarro\nwas dumbfounded by Emma’s presence and experienced a new genesis\nas a person and as an artist that he put his own career and reputation\nin jeopardy. He even left his wife, Virginia Ty, and their three children\nto pursue the reason for his newfound emancipation. Eventually, the\ntwo settled in a passionate, loving affair after an initial backlash and\nresistance from their own families.<br /><br />\nArt has long been a medium for artists to express their deep admiration\nand passion for their lovers, and Navarro was no stranger to this\naphorism. Portrait of ‘E’ is rendered in Navarro’s distinct pointillism –\none of the many styles he explored throughout his artistic career. The\nphysical and emotional connection shared by the artist and his lover\nbecame a catalyst for the former’s virtuosic ingenuity.
