With the scene being painted with softened edges, likely to suggest a feeling rather than its identity, Vitalis presents a personal impression of the place, like a recollection rather than direct observation. Highlighting Paris’ atmosphere, memory, and quiet beauty, and inducing observers to absorb the mood rather than analyze the details.
