From the historical sites of Thailand to the temples in India, Luz builds upon the beauty of the magnificent architecture he encountered in this sojourn series, resulting in cities emerging in intricate lines of white reminiscent of the powerful, historical essence these buildings evoke.

\nThis particular Cities of the Past feature showcases Luz’s signature exact lines and pitch-black background, forcing viewers to look not at the minute details but at the architectural beauty itself. Like many of the works from this series, Cities of the Past extracted the majesty of what he saw into minimalist distillations of the place’s very soul, creating a work that is both nostalgic and ideal.
