Oftentimes, his canvases are adorned with jeepneys, sari-sari stores, and vendors of different kinds, providing masterpieces that evoke a strong sense of nostalgia and sentimentality.

Moro-Moro, as the title suggests, portrays a traditional folk drama from the Spanish colonial period that dramatizes the battles between Christians and Filipino Muslims or Moros. A stage was put up, making it easier to watch, as the crowd quickly gathered around it. Painted with oil, this piece bears his signature colorful palette and simple, child-drawn figures.

His unique art style, though some may find it funny and childish, is a testament to his individuality and creativity. These works earned him numerous awards and recognition, inspiring admiration for his contributions to Filipino art and culture. Furthermore, he was among the awardees of the inaugural CCP Thirteen Artists Award in 1970.
