Featuring a fragmented image of a woman selling fruit from her basket and a mother carrying her child, with a background resembling a populated village or marketplace, Tabuena presents the painting as a representation of collective rural identity and the quiet dignity of women.

The fragmented shape and colors flow in synchrony to provide balance between the people and the environment. Perfectly capturing the essence of Filipino communal life where women were represented as an important element in both family and community—all packed in a visual language that feels both structured and deeply human.
