His impressive ability to grasp and excel across different styles and mediums is highly evident in his works, leaving the audience in awe at his range of talents. He is most known for his vibrant sailboats and overlapping planes. However, behind his gem-toned palette and cubist abstraction lies an artist who is also adept in figurative drawing, as seen in this 1987 piece. Drawn with colored pencil, Zalameda provided in this work an easy, wispy yet contemplative sketch of a naked woman lying on her side.
