From the majestic landscape and scenery to beautiful flora, hardworking people, and buzzing activities, all have appeared in Salita’s canvases. With his distinct cubist-impressionist style and faceless figures, Salita depicted in this untitled piece a pair of women dressed in traditional Filipino clothing kneeling by the riverbank to collect water. Each girl is holding a big jar, with the others surrounding them, conversing as they fill their jars with water. His use of soft strokes and a gentle palette helps create a calming atmosphere, inviting viewers to feel the serenity of these everyday scenes.
