His skilled craftsmanship is exemplified in his ability to shift between abstract and figurative works, from plexiglass to metal, and miniature figures to monuments and murals.

Brass remains Castrillo’s preferred medium, showcasing his mastery and dedication. His exquisite brassworks, big and small, evoke respect and admiration. Many of his works serve as landmarks across the Metro, such as the People Power Monument and the Bonifacio Monument, and have become integral parts of the urban landscape. Other Castrillo works, however, found their way into permanent exhibits, prominent private collections, or were used as decorative elements in houses and buildings.
