A place where the questions far outweigh the answers, inviting viewers to feel curious and engaged. His vibrant, monochromatic orange palette, shadowed by darker hues, created a warm, murky image, as if engulfed by fiery heat. Beyond the haze, his infamous rock piles are present, with hints of greens sprouting in between. Wooden posts and planks are scattered, looking like run down sheds, plants snaking around them. Sansó’s thin, feather-like strokes resembling plants intensify his image’s eerie atmosphere.

Indeed, Sansó’s visual narratives blend beauty with a disturbing sense of unease, invariably influencing viewers’ psyches. His ability to infuse his works with unsettling mystery, regardless of the subject matter, makes him and his paintings distinct. A quality that draws the viewers in and cements his name in Philippine art.
